Procurement/Planning Manager

Role Description


Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Our client, based in Crayford, is recruiting for a Procurement/Planning manager to join their forward-thinking and rapidly growing company in the construction industry. This role will play a critical role in their operations.

Role Overview:
As the Procurement/Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain functions to ensure project requirements are met on time and within cost parameters. This role is vital in supporting project delivery, maintaining supplier performance, and driving strategic procurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure goods based on project sales handovers.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with key project milestones and tendered time scales.
  • Manage the end-to-end supply chain effectively to avoid delays and disruptions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of key suppliers to maintain quality and reliability.
  • Oversee and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money.
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement and planning initiatives.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of procurement processes, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Liaise closely with Project Managers to align procurement strategies with project needs and timelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or planning management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS) are an advantage.
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred.
