
Marketing Manager
Role Description
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, 35 hours a week
Our client, a B2B and B2C company are looking for an experienced senior marketing executive to join their marketing team in London. The area they cover includes the UK, Ireland and Malta. Currently they use a combination of printed and digital materials, utilizing advertising on Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to promote their brand.
They run regular webinars utilising their CRM, Salesforce, and regard client retention and satisfaction as being as important as seeking new clients and customers.
Duties
- Support the development of the brand in UK and Ireland, including management of websites, social media feeds, audio visual output, strategic partnerships, and other communications.
- Maintain and create content on the websites (WordPress) and social media feeds, writing engaging blog posts and communications.
- Write documents for policyholders and potential policyholders in a clear, easy to understand way.
- Using InDesign and other Adobe products, design and produce marketing collateral, point of sale materials including terms and conditions and IPID documentation, and promotional materials in an accurate and timely way.
- Work effectively with external suppliers and printers to ensure they are correctly briefed, focused, and motivated and meet agreed levels of service.
- Manage external marketing software programmes, supporting other departments use where appropriate.
- Provide management information on collateral stock levels, and budget spend.
- In conjunction with the marketing team, Compliance Manager and proof-readers ensure that all the company’s literature, point of sale materials and promotional materials comply with relevant standards as determined by regulatory bodies.
- Provide input to management reports as required, including progress reports and Board and Committee papers relating to Sales and Marketing initiatives.
- Manage the provision of relevant and appropriate merchandising and banners for the Field Sales Team and Charity Team.
- Produce media output, both written and digital, to cover events. Ensure all materials are catalogued and archived for easy retrieval and are compliant with GDPR and use to support the marketing and media business strategy.
Manager duties:
- Handle the day-to-day management of the Sales and Marketing team.
- Delegate responsibilities and manage the Sales and Marketing teams operations; plan, evaluate and devise ways to streamline processes and department activities.
- Manage schedules and deadlines.
- Coach, manage and motivate the team to ensure they provide attentive, efficient service to customers and assess employee performance and provide feedback and training opportunities.
- Act as a line of communication between the team and the Head of Sales and Marketing
- Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees
- Ensuring a safe, secure and legal working environment
Person Specification
Experience
- Previous experience working in a senior marketing role.
- Demonstrable track-record of success in developing and implementing integrated creative media techniques, that are modern and current.
- Demonstrable experience in evaluating the effectiveness of creative media produced and measuring the return on investment.
- Effective utilisation of CRM and Analytic software.
- Experience and expertise in the design aspects of business-to-business marketing. Experience of different marketing disciplines including the design of on and offline marketing, advertising, and promotions.
- Social media creative marketing skills and a successful track record of using these to grow brand awareness, leads and direct sales.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Formal training and a high level of proficiency in Indesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Final Cut and/or other video editing software.
- A CIM qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of Salesforce/Pardot is desirable.
- Experience of promoting and administering webinars is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of marketing techniques to support campaign and event goals.
- Awareness of latest digital and social marketing methods, tools and channels.

- A creative flare, with the ability to translate business and marketing outcome objectives into engaging and impactful creative media (print, online, email, video, audio).
- Experience in WordPress, (some HTML), Final Cut Pro software,
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and conflicting deadlines
- A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Commercial awareness, with an interest in the market, current affairs and what is going on in the world that may influence business.
- Ability to multitask and keep track of different creative elements of a project or campaign simultaneously.
- Excellent copy writing and verbal communications, with the ability to engage collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels to achieve successful outcomes.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand the needs of customers and intermediaries in order to translate that into impactful tenders and quotation submissions.
- Ability to liaise with suppliers effectively and ensure they comply with Service Levels Agreements.
- Attention to detail with the ability to proofread effectively.
- Confident with liaising with printers and knowledgeable on the different print techniques
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
