Insurance and Service Sales Consultant
Role Description
Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Our client is looking for an insurance and service sales consultant to join their dynamic team. this is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to work in sales administration with a great client focus attitude and mindset.
The Insurance Sales and Service Sales Consultant is responsible for identifying, managing, and converting revenue opportunities generated through inspections, insurance reports, audit reports and associated client enquiries.
The role combines proactive sales, technical understanding, client relationship management, and commercial quotation responsibilities to maximise revenue from our clients existing portfolio while ensuring clients remain compliant with statutory obligations and insurance requirements.
This role is hybrid to include Service Sales support and administrative duties to the Head of Service Sales; acting as a central point of coordination between customers, sales and the service department. This includes contract renewals, contract terminations, responding to client service sales enquiries, contract issuing, pricing and quotations.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Sales
- Provide quotations for inspection reports, insurance inspection reports and audit reports working to an annual target.
- Prepare accurate quotations for remedial works aligned to contractual obligations.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain pricing and technical information.
- Work with engineering and operational teams to validate technical solutions.
- Attend site where required.
- Follow up outstanding quotations and actively pursue order conversion – issue consolidated quotation spreadsheet information to clients.
- Attend relevant contractual meetings to discuss insurance quote status and client requirements.
- Convert identified opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Ensure clients understand compliance risks associated with outstanding defect. Promote compliance best practice.
- Follow up on relevant incoming sales enquiries from calls, emails, and website leads.
Provide flexible support to the Minor Repairs Sales function, including quotation preparation, customer liaison and opportunity follow-up, as workload demands arise across the maintenance portfolio.
Service Sales Support
- Monitor contract expiry dates and identify/undertake renewal opportunities and client and team communications – updating systems accordingly.
- Action contract terminations and client and team communications.
- Action ‘change in Managing Agents’ across the portfolio and client and team communications.
- Mobilize new service contracts onto systems and undertake client and team team communications.
- Provide service sales / maintenance quotations and cost model completion and assist in tender documentation completion and administration.
- Maintain accurate records of all opportunities, quotations, communications and sales activity.
- Follow up outstanding quotations, input % probabilities on systems and actively pursue order conversion.
- Prepare, complete and coordinate contract documentation and client communications to ensure a smooth and timely contract mobilisation process.
- Identify opportunities with the Head of Service Sales and Contract Managers for maintenance contract growth, service upgrades, additional visits and value-added services.
- Provide general service sales administrative duties to support the Sales Director, Head of Service Sales and wider team where required.
- Attend site surveys and client meetings where required to build relationships and engagement.
- Ensure customers receive timely updates and responses.
Skills & Experience Essential:
- Previous experience in sales administration, service administration, or customer support.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Team player and customer-focused approach.
- Experience managing customer relationships and progressing sales opportunities.
