Role Description

Our client is seeking a Workstation Configuration Engineer who is passionate about all aspects of IT, you will be responsible for working within the Solutions Delivery Team as a first port of call for customer builds to provide technical assistance when users procure new laptops or desktops. You will be working alongside Senior Technicians to make sure that newly procured desktops and laptops are built to a good standard and are ready for users to use for their day to day.

Duties

· Configuring newly purchased devices for End Users.

· Completing device configurations for on-site projects.

· Occasionally providing cover for members of the Support Team

· Configuring devices to the company standard.

· Responsible for ordering, receiving equipment, booking in, and checking devices.

· Communicating with clients regarding orders, configurations and deliveries.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are desirable but not essential:

  • Computer Studies within a A-Level/Diploma Level Standard
  • Personal experience with Computing
  • Any form of official certification.
  • Basics of Networking
  • Basics of Office 365 (Experience a bonus)
